Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)

We act as a champion, adviser, advocate and trainer for health and safety professionals working in organisations of all shapes and sizes, in around 130 countries. Our focus is to support our members in creating workplaces that are safer, healthier and more sustainable. And we do this in many different ways, including a professional development programme, events, helplines, and up-to-date technical advice. Our Training and Skills products and other IOSH approved courses provide valuable knowledge, skills and qualifications for members and their colleagues.

At the same time, we are shaping the future of the profession and influencing important decisions that affect the safety, health and wellbeing of people at work worldwide. We collaborate with governments, advise policy-makers, commission research and set standards, and run high-profile campaigns to promote awareness of issues affecting workplace safety, health and well-being.

It is a status identified by business and why Chartered Membership of IOSH is recognised worldwide as the hallmark of professional excellence in workplace safety and health.

AOSH Awarding Body UK Ltd (AOSH UK)

AOSH Awarding Body UK Ltd. is a progressive and fast-growing autonomous certification body, our purpose is to certify practitioners in the health and safety profession. AOSH Certification Schemes are accredited by International Accredited Service (IAS) as per ISO/IEC/17024:2012 standard. AOSH Certification Schemes Certified Safety Specialist (CSS) is a pioneer in the United Kingdom and European Union.

AOSH utilizes the skills of health and safety/industry experts throughout the development and consultation processes. Our extensive knowledge of developing assessments, accrediting and certifying qualifications demonstrate our expertise.

British Safety Council (BSC)

For over sixty years we’ve been a trusted guide to excellent health, safety and environmental management. This section covers our mission, vision, who we are, what we do, who we work with, the history of the British Safety Council, our charitable purposes and annual reports.

The British Safety Council believes that no one should be injured or made ill through their work.

Since its foundation in 1957, the British Safety Council has campaigned tirelessly to protect workers from accidents, hazards and unsafe conditions, and played a decisive role in the political process that has led to adoption of landmark safety legislation in the UK. Its members in more than 60 countries are committed to protecting and improving the wellbeing of workers believing that a healthy and safe work environment is also good for business.

International Student Identity Card (ISIC)

The ISIC Association is the non-profit organisation behind the International Student Identity Card (ISIC). The ISIC card is the only internationally accepted proof of bona fide student status.

First established in 1953, the ISIC card is now issued to students  in over 130 countries/territories. The ISIC card is not exclusive. All bona fide students over the age of 12, regardless of their nationality, race, gender or religion can purchase an ISIC card at an affordable price. Via one single card, ISIC students gain preferential and discounted access to products, services and experiences relevant to all aspects of student life, from software licenses and cinema access, to bookstores, public transport, cafés and eateries.

Through the wide range of opportunities available to cardholders, the ISIC Association aims to play a supporting role in improving intercultural understanding, increasing educational opportunities and facilitating student life across the world. Related to this, the ISIC card has been endorsed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) since 1968.

The ISIC card is managed at a global level by the ISIC Global Office B.V., based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Professional Evaluation Certification Body (PECB)

PECB (legal name “PECB Group Inc.”) is a certification body which provides education and certification under ISO/IEC 17024 for individuals on a wide range of disciplines.

We help professionals and organizations show commitment and competence by providing them with valuable education, evaluation and certification against rigorous internationally recognized standards. Our mission is to provide our clients with comprehensive services that inspire trust, continual improvement, demonstrate recognition, and benefit the society as a whole.

Our principal objectives and activities are:

  1. Establishing the minimum requirements necessary to certify professionals
  2. Reviewing and verifying the qualifications of applicants for eligibility to be considered for the certification evaluation
  3. Developing and maintaining reliable, valid, and current certification evaluations
  4. Granting certificates to qualified candidates, maintaining records, and publishing a directory of the holders of valid certificates
  5. Establishing requirements for the periodic renewal of certification and determining compliance with those requirements
  6. Ascertaining that our clients meet ethical standards in their professional practice
  7. Representing its members, where appropriate, in matters of common interest
  8. Promoting the benefits of certification to organizations, employers, public officials, practitioners in related fields, and the public.
